A man arrested after climbing on to the roof of the Dockers Club in Anfield is due to appear in court today.
William Summerhill, 25, of Carno Street, Wavertree , is accused of resisting arrest and three counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
Police were called to the Dockers Club in Townsend Lane on Tuesday afternoon to reports that a man had fled from a nearby house on to the roof and the area was sealed off as attempts were made to talk him down.
Summerhill was charged last night and will appear before magistrates in Liverpool this morning.
A 50-year-old man and 44-year-old woman who were arrested at a house in nearby Lampeter Road as police executed a Misuse of Drugs warrant on Tuesday afternoon have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Violence erupted in the area later when a firebomb was thrown causing four police officers to suffer burn injuries.
