A second man has been charged following a scrambler bike chase ended in West Derby .
A member of the public raised the alarm on Sunday afternoon after spotting two men on the bike in the Edge Lane area with what looked like a handgun.
Armed officers from Merseyside Police chased the bike for around 15 minutes ending at a grassed area at the junction with Meadow Lane and Parkside Drive.
The force confirmed tonight that Wayne Joseph Garnett, 24, of Vincent Street, Old Swan had been charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, and dangerous driving.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
On Monday, Michael Anthony Byrne, 25, of Hanwell Street, Anfield , was charged with the same offences.
He appeared before magistrates today.
